High Schools across the country are recognizing Red Ribbon Week, promoting a healthy drug free lifestyle. The Owatonna High School S.H.O.C. club is hosting several events.

Red Ribbon Week is about thirty years old. The National Family Partnership promotes this observance with the mission to lead and support the national's families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.

The Owatonna High School SHOC (Students Helping Others Choose) is holding several events to emphasize the importance of drug-free living. The school is decorated with many red ribbons this week. (Story from the OHS Magnet student newspaper.)

The Magnet also put together a story on the consequences of decisions made by athletes. Link to the story.
