Brief Description Of Activity
 
1 Participate in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of an educational institution relating to careers in broadcasting On March 11,2016 our SEU Brand Managers participated in a career fair at South Central College called Career Fest.  Local high school students were encouraged to attend to learn about careers in a variety of fields and participate in question and answer sessions throughout the day.  Our SEU’s Brand Managers talked about career opportunities in radio and led a group discussion during two different sessions during the course of the day.
2 Participate in Scholarship Program relating to broadcast careers On May 20, 2016, our SEU sponsored a scholarship program (22nd year) called Scholar Dollars, which awards four $500 scholarships to local students planning to attend college and major in communications, marketing, or broadcasting.  From February through April 2016, Owatonna’s High School guidance office collected applications for the scholarships.  In May, our Director of Sales worked with the School’s guidance office to review and select scholarship recipients.  On May 20, 2016, we hosted a breakfast during which our SEU presented the four scholarships to the selected candidates.
3 Participate in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of a Community organization relating to careers in broadcasting On April 21, 2016, our SEU participated in the Faribault Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.  SEU representatives spoke with attendees about career opportunities in broadcasting and job openings within the SEU.  Those expressing interest were given job descriptions and applications.  SEU participants included our DOS, On Air and Brand Managers
4  Participate in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of a Community organization relating to careers in broadcasting On May 5th and 6th 2016, our SEU participated in the Owatonna Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.  SEU representatives spoke with attendees about career opportunities in broadcasting and job openings within the SEU.  Those expressing interest were given job descriptions and applications.  SEU participants included our DOS, On Air and Brand Managers
