Triton Defeats Tri City United 66-55

A nice crowd at Triton High School in Dodge Center on Monday night saw Triton defeat Tri City United 66-55 in boys basketball. The lead was a see-saw battle most of the first half. TCU lead 34-30 at halftime. The Triton Cobras turned up the heat a bit in the second half and got a good lead and never looked back.

Charley Simonette had 19 points and Carter Rynda had 18 to lead the TCU Titans. The Cobras were lead by Michael Tomas and Isiah Wannarka with 15 each and Cameron Marquardt with 10. TCU faces Sibley East at home and Triton hosts Schaffer Academy. We will have the Cobras on the air again Friday night as they travel to Pine Island. They should be on the air at 7 p.m. on Power96 FM and power96radio.com.
