This was kind of an odd first weekend of spring.

Saturday was sunny with a few clouds and a little chilly. So I decided to go for a walk on the Kaplan Trails. Other people had the same idea and were out and about.

I had my camera ready for nature to be eventful and active. Of course, I was not disappointed. I was crossing the bridge and noticed a pair of Canadian geese by themselves in the water preening. All of a sudden one flipped upside down. It was a little goofy looking, but I suppose this is normal. The reason I think that is because the second one did the same thing. Maybe it was one of those moments: "I can do that, too" or "That looked like it felt good, I'll give it a try."

The other half of the weekend, it snowed several inches. Maybe there is something to that old wives tale about snowing three times on a robin's back, but I don't know if that counts for geese.
