The Owatonna youth football camp for players entering third through 10th grades runs Monday, August 8, through Thursday, August 11, at the high school stadium and practice field.

The camp is non-contact, according to the Owatonna football website. Players entering third through sixth grades will work on skills related to every position. Athletes going into seventh through 10th grades will choose an offensive and defensive position to focus on. Ninth- and 10th-graders will be issued helmets and pads on Tuesday.

Interested players who have not signed up yet can print the camp brochure and bring it along Monday. They should arrive a little before the 5:30PM start time to get registered. Camp runs through 8PM each night.

The Huskies coaching staff is joined by current and former players to lead the drills and lead-up games. Players are quickly moved through stations for a fun, high-energy experience. Participants receive an Owatonna football camp t-shirt. Hy-Vee provides a cookout on Wednesday.

Owatonna park and recreation youth football signup will be Wednesday.

Official high school football practice opens Monday, August 15. Owatonna opens its season Friday, September 2, versus Mankato West at OHS.
