Big Sports Day on Thursday

Soccer Section Semifinals are Thursday (Oct 9). The Owatonna boys host Northfield. The OHS girls are at Lakeville North. Each starts at 7:00. Section individual girls tennis too.

GIRLS TENNIS

Section individual play begins Thursday and continues on Tuesday October 14.

BOYS SOCCER

The Huskies will meet Northfield Thursday at 7:00 in the Section 1AA semifinals. Owatonna beat the Raiders 3-1 on September 23. The Huskies are the two-time defending champs.

OHS captured a 1-0 victory over Lakeville South Tuesday. After a scoreless tie through regulation & overtime, the match was decided in a shootout. Goalkeeper Layne Frank made 15 saves in the game AND converted the winning goal in the shootout, which Owatonna won 5-4.

Top seed Rochester JM and #4 seed Lakeville North play in the other semifinal.

GIRLS SOCCER

The Huskies tangle with top seed and #2 ranked in the state Lakeville North Thursday at 7:00 in Lakeville. The Panthers topped the Huskies 5-0 September 26.

The OHS girls reversed their regular season result against Rochester Century Tuesday, scoring a 3-2 section playoff win to reach the 1AA semifinals. 

Rochester Mayo plays at Farmington in the other semifinal.

VOLLEYBALL

OHS goes to Red Wing on Thursday. Then plays in the St. Michael-Albertville Tournament Friday & Saturday. Monday (October 13) the Huskies go to #1 ranked in 1A Faribault BA. KDHL Radio will have that match covered live!

Big Nine leading Rochester Mayo plays at second place Faribault. Blooming Prairie is at WEM....NRHEG goes to Faribault BA....Medford plays at Maple River....Triton hosts Rochester Lourdes.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Owatonna hosts Faribault Thursday at 6:00 at the Owatonna Junior High.
