Litomysl Summer Festival

Food, games and music highlight the 43rd annual Litomysl Summer Festival Sunday July 27 at the grounds of Holy Trinity Catholic Church 11:00 - 5:00.

The Litomysl community spirit will be felt everywhere in the air at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl (rural Owatonna) on Sunday, July 27th as the 140 families of the parish host their 43rd annual LITOMYSL SUMMER FESTIVAL, one of the largest summer parish festivals in southern Minnesota.

This country-style festival draws thousands of people to the community’s annual fund raiser that helps support the preschool through fifth grade school, St. Isidore School. (St. Isidore is the patron saint of farmers).

On Sunday, July 27th at 10 a.m., a Polka Mass with the "Litomyslaneous Group" begins the festivities. The Owatonna Knights of Columbus Council #945’s Fourth Degree Knights will be a part of the Mass also. At 11a.m. all the outside activities begin, which include food booths with pork rib sandwiches, pork burgers, hot dogs, brats, root beer floats, walking tacos, and refreshments to drink; a flea market, along with a Silent Auction in the school; a country store with garden produce; and many children's and adult games. Rd. 4 (98th St.) to 24th Ave SE; or from Ellendale east on Hwy 30 to Co. Rd. 45, then 5 miles north on Co. Rd. 45 to Co. Rd. 4 (SE 98th St), then 2 miles east to 24th Ave SE.
