The Steele County Blades junior hockey team will close out its nine-game home stand with a pair of contests vs the Ironwood, Michigan Yoopers at Four Seasons this weekend.

Steele County is on a three game winning streak and coming off a HUGE win over the Dells Ducks last Friday. The Ducks came into the game with seven shutouts on the season, plus six other games of giving up just one goal. The Blades buried FOUR pucks into the net in the 4-2 victory. Goalie Bryce Kamenick (Eau Claire, WI) had a great game with 39 saves. Clayton Huss (Pleasant Hill, IA) had two goals. Wes Morales (Fort Collins, CO) and Adan Sigala (Douglas, WY) notched the other goals. Wilson Anderle (Buffalo, MN) distributed three assists.

The Blades are in third place in the Minnesota Division of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.
