Owatonna's baseball and boys lacrosse teams each stayed perfect in Big Nine play with wins on Wednesday. At least a couple of other teams are also conference title contenders this spring.

Huskies' baseball won a twice-weather delayed game with Albert Lea Wednesday 7-2 at Fuller Field at Dartt's Park. Noah Budach delivered a two-run triple. Abe Havelka hit an RBI-double. OHS (6-0 Big Nine, 9-2 overall) hosts Mankato West at 4 pm Thursday in a doubleheader at Dartt's Park.

The Huskies' boys' lacrosse team had another strong second quarter and held off Northfield 6-5 in a game rescheduled from the start of the season. The teams will meet again Friday in Northfield at 6:30 pm in a Kat Kountry 105FM broadcast. The Huskies (6-0, 7-2) and Raiders shared the conference crown last season.

Owatonna girls' lacrosse also leads the Big Nine standings. The Huskies (4-1, 4-2) host Northfield Friday at OHS at 6 pm. OHS has a big rematch with Mankato on the road Tuesday, May 14. The Huskies one league loss came against Rochester JM.

The OHS boys' track team has had a very strong spring, winning some meets that included Twin Cities teams. Owatonna girls' track has also performed well in their limited schedule. The Big Nine track meet is Thursday, May 24 at Carleton College in Northfield.

The Huskies' fast pitch softball team (4-3, 5-6) hosts defending Big Nine champ Mankato West (7-1, 9-3) at 5 pm Thursday at Morehouse with coverage on KRFO AM 1390 and on the KRFO app.

Owatonna boys' tennis hosts Mankato East Friday in a makeup meet. The Big Nine meet is Saturday, May 12 in Rochester.
