A warm summer day is a good day to think about hockey. The Minnesota Wild are on their final days of the 2016 Road Tour visiting different cities in the state with a northern, central and southern leg tour.

The southern leg tour stopped in Owatonna yesterday afternoon at the Four Seasons Centre. Along on the tour are current players Ryan Carter and Nate Prosser, former Wild player Keith Ballard and broadcaster Anthony LaPanta. There was a merchandise truck and Youth First had root beer floats.

Still to come today, the last day of the tour, the group will be in Austin from noon to 1PM at Packer Arena, 607 Seventh St. N.E., and then making the trip to Winona at the Bud King Arena, 607 E. Front St.

The central tour has players Kurtis Gabriel and Mario Lucia, plus former Wild Wes Walz and TV analyst Mike Greenlay. They will be in Little Falls from noon to 1PM and Richmond from 3-4PM.

The northern leg of the tour includes players Jordan Schroeder, Mike Reilly, along with radio analyst Tom Reid and host Kevin Falness. They will be in Ely and Two Harbors.

According to the Wild website, the trip leads up to the Summer Bash and NHL Entry Draft Viewing Party at the Xcel Energy Center from 6-9PM. It will include games, photo and autograph opportunities from Wild players and alumni of the NHL. The draft is Friday and Saturday in New York.
