Jessie James Decker recently released a new EP titled Gold, and she's sharing an exclusive performance of one of the tracks with Taste of Country readers.

Decker filmed the relaxed performance in the intimate environs of Blackbird Studios in Nashville. In the video above, Decker stands in front of a music stand and delivers her vocal while her band members provide light percussion and an acoustic framework for the song, which details a couple who don't want to let their relationship become too domesticated and stale.

"Shoot out the lights while we're still young / Chase the moon till the morning comes / Let 'em say we're the crazy ones, crazy ones / Let's breathe the air that we used to breathe / Back when we were seventeen / I want you looking at me like you did that night / So let's shoot out the lights, shoot out the lights," Decker sings in the chorus.

The song was written by Marty Dodson, Brett Tyler and Maren Morris.

"I don't know if you've heard of her or not," Decker deadpans in the behind-the-scenes clip below.

Decker first heard the song at her publisher's office, but at the time it was on hold for Lady Antebellum. She was instantly determined to cut "Shoot out the Lights" for herself if it became available.

"I feel like every couple can relate to "'Shoot Out the Lights.' Let's keep things hot, let's keep the love alive, even if we've been together for a while," she says.

Gold debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard‘s Current Country Albums chart after its release in January, selling more than 12,000 albums and 17,000 songs, which is the strongest opening week sales of Decker's career to date.
