None of us ever want to bury our children. I am sure the former Vikings coach Bud Grant was thinking the same thing. Grant in his 90's I am sure thought he would go first.

Not the casas his son Bruce passed away from brain cancer, he was 57. Bruce had played quarterback at Minnesota Duluth from 1980-1983. He did a tryout with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL) following college.

Bruce Grant was admitted to the hospital on May 30th when they found out on a CT Scan, that he had a number of tumors on his brain. Surgery was performed to remove the largest tumor and that was reported to be successful.

A memorial service will take place Tuesday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at Westwood Community Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at the church.
