Owatonna sophomore running back Jason Williamson rushed for about 270 yards on about 45 carries in Friday's 29-16 win at New Prague.

KRFO stats had Williamson with 46 carries, which would tie the school record set by Aaron Peterson in a state tournament win over Mankato West in 2012. Williamson rushed for two touchdowns and took the ball into the end zone for a pair of two-point conversions.

Abe Havelka tossed a scoring strike to Alex Raichle and ran one in as well. The Huskies scored 23 points in the second quarter with the wind at their back. A strong sustained southerly wind made passing tricky. Each team only punted once.

The Huskies gained most of the yardage on their first scoring drive going into the wind. They started on their own 16 midway through the first quarter. Seventeen running plays and two passes later, the Huskies scored on the first of Williamson's touchdown runs. The drive took seven minutes off the clock and ended in the opening minute of the second quarter.

On the subsequent drive, facing fourth down inside their own 30-yard line, New Prague elected to go for it rather than risk a punt. The Huskies held their ground and started their second scoring drive at the Trojans' 21-yard line. OHS scored three plays later on the pass to Raichle, who has 11 receptions on the season, seven for touchdowns.

Owatonna (5-2, 4-0 Red Division) closes the regular season at Rochester Century on Wednesday at 7PM.
