Northfield jumped out to a quick lead and beat Owatonna 46-15. Blooming Prairie topped NRHEG 35-20. Triton blanked St. Charles 67-0. Medford lost to LPHT 20-14.

Northfield made their return to the Big Nine a triumphant one, earning a share of the Big Nine title with their 46-15 victory over Owatonna....and a lot of help from Rochester JM. The Raiders had several short fields to work with and grabbed a quick 22-8 first quarter lead. Northfield wore down the Huskies as the game progressed. Several minutes after the final horn, the PA announced the upset win for JM over #1 ranked Mankato West 21-19, which set off another celebration for the Northfield players.
