Crown Cork and Seal of Owatonna is closed and will NOT have a second or third shift today due to the weather. We will resume operation at 6:00 am Tuesday morning.
Crown Cork and Seal of Faribault is closed and no 2nd or 3rd shift today. Ist shift will start at 7 am Tuesday.
Divine Mercy Catholic School - 6:15 pm Kitchen Training has been canceled

Hiawatha Land Transit Routes stopped at noon. The dial a ride in Faribault will continue until 6 pm.
Owatonna Public Library closing at 5 PM
SMART Transit in Owatonna and Waseca will not be traveling out of town for the remainder of the day due to inclement weather. This includes Medford and Blooming Prairie transportation.
All other services will operate as planned but we'll continue to closely monitor the weather throughout the day.
U of M Scott County Extension Office Evening Activities are canceled

Snow Emergency Declarations:
City of Faribault no parking on city streets 1-8am on Tuesday or until streets are completely cleared.
Rice County Highway Department has suspended plowing operations until conditions improve due to white out conditions on the roads.
No Un-necessary travel advised in Rice County and a good portion of southwestern Minnesota. Check the latest on roads by dialing 511 or got to 511mn.org. Sheriff Dunn also advises that there is limited county staffing today. If you need county services call ahead to make sure someone can assist you.
