A couple of weeks ago I posted a story about some of the area water parks that I thought covered most of the area pools but I was wrong. I realized my error when I was in Waseca on Sunday for a backyard barbecue. As I entered town on Highway 13 I saw the colorful awnings of some of the shade areas around the edge of the Waseca Water Park. With temperatures soaring into the upper 90s this weekend I wanted to make sure you knew all your local options to help keep cool and still get a little sun and fun.

According to their website, the facility, sitting on 3.6 acres of land, boasts a 25-foot slide tower, which is the tallest of the area waterparks. You can access the Flume Slide and the Speed Slide from this tower. Pool goers can also enjoy Water Walk, Trio of Fun, Dew Drop, Toddler Turtle Slide, four geysers, sheet flow curtain, and water spray area with large sand play area just a short distance away from the pool. There's also a changing area with plenty of lockers and a concession stand to satisfy your cravings for treats while you're enjoying all the fun in the sun.
