Jana Kramer is sharing an acoustic version of her brand-new single “I’ve Done Love” exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch.

Accompanied by two acoustic guitar players, Kramer sings this stripped-down version of "I've Done Love" while seated on a plush-looking couch. The new song's lyrics include lines such as “I’ve taken hits, woke up hungover / Gone on benders, stone-cold sober / Slammed the door right off the hinges / Hotel rooms and midnight binges / Risked my life, had to much of things I swore I’d never touch / So don’t tell me I’ve never done the hard stuff / ‘Cause I’ve done love.”

Released by Kramer on Friday (Aug. 18) as her latest single, “I’ve Done Love” was written by a powerhouse trio of Nashville songwriters: Josh Osborne, Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally. It’s a song that is particularly relevant for Kramer, who’s experienced her own ups and downs with love in recent years.

“This is the song. This is so me,” Kramer tells The Boot. “I’ve been tipsy, but never drunk. And I don’t [know] the sting of the needle, and I haven’t woken up with a bottle, but I’ve done love.”

In 2015, Kramer married football player Michael Caussin; the singer / actress gave birth to their first child, a daughter the following year. These days, however, the couple is separated. Prior to her marriage to Caussin, Kramer was married to Michael Gambino, who was physically and emotionally abusive. In between those two relationships, she was briefly married to actor Johnathon Schaech, then dated, got engaged to and split from Brantley Gilbert.

Kramer hasn’t announced plans for a new full-length album just yet. She last released an album, Thirty One, in late 2015; her most recent single is "Circles."
