The 35th annual Bluebird Expo is Saturday, April 11, at the Northfield Middle School. Noted bluebird man Loren Murphy (Murph) of Faribault will be one of the keynote speakers and will give us details about this year's event sponsored by the Bluebird Recovery Program of Minnesota. Lunch reservations need to be made by April 1. Lunch is $10 and includes an Italian buffet of penne pasta with a choice of three different sauces (alfredo, marina or meatballs with red sauce), Caesar salad, bread sticks and cake, with a beverage choice of coffee, milk or water.

Expo registration is $8 before April 1 and $10 after that date. In addition to Murph, speakers include Katie-Lyn Bunney discussing "Monarch Butterflies," Becky Masterman discussing "Helping People Help Bees" and nature humorist Al Batt, among others.

Approved nest boxes and pole mounts will be available for purchase and there will be a silent auction with a number of items donated by Expo attendees. Registration on April 11 is 8-8:50 a.m. Programs run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I'm going to play a couple of recordings of songbirds and we'll see how Murph does identifying them. Any questions you want me to ask, just text to (507) 838-5233.
