Owatonna High School boys basketball and boys hockey lost close games Tuesday. Girls hockey was victorious. Medford boys basketball won. BP lost its boys opener.

Mayo topped the OHS Boys Hockey team 4-2 Tuesday at Graham Arena in Rochester. The Spartans scored three times in the third period to erase a 2-1 Huskies lead. Owatonna's Kody Kiel and Michael Brein scored their first varsity goals. OHS plays at Rochester Century Saturday night.

Mankato East edged the OHS Boys Basketball team 69-63. Dexter Leer led the Huskies with 13 points. Cole Butler added 11. Mason Thein grabbed 11 rebounds. Owatonna plays at Rochester Mayo Tuesday.

OHS Girls Hockey beat Mayo 3-1. "Betty" VonRuden, Margo Achterkirch and Rilee Schmidt scored for Owatonna, which won its third in a row. The Huskies are at Rochester Century Saturday.
