To Be in Love or Not To Be in Love, That is the Question

Valentine's Day is not a great holiday for single folks. From personal experience, I can tell you it is a very lonely day. The holiday is clearly meant for lovers, and when you aren’t engaged in that sort of relationship, you are left out on the special day.

There are other loves than romantic love and, frankly, in order for a relationship to last I believe you have to have more than romance. Having said that, the best times in my life I was in love. There really is nothing quite like it. I like the line in the Garth Brooks song that says, “Love isn’t something that you’re in, it’s something that you do.” I was toying around with the letters in love and came up with this. Would love to get your suggestions for each letter.

L is for Liking that someone in your life. You can’t truly love someone unless you like them.

O is for cutting Open your soul. When you are in love, really in love, you trust the person with every ounce of your being, and that means being able to share with them things you have never shared with any other human!

V is for Visualizing. When you are in love, you can’t help but visualize yourself with that special person always!

E is for Energy. Love provides an unmistakable and indescribable energy. You just have more pep in your step when you are in love!

Dr. Seuss may have said it best: “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, so when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness; and then we call it love.”
