I thought what better thing to talk about on a day like today around MInnesota than getting ready to lose an hour of sleep Saturday night and head into daylight saving time.

Yes, this weekend we do that semiannual ritual where we turn the clocks ahead one hour, putting some darkness back into the mornings but gaining light in the evenings.

Here there are some other things we should do at this time of year:

  • Change the batteries in the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. Then you know they are going to keep working.
  • Change the batteries in all battery-operated clocks. or if you have an electric clock with battery back-up, change that one also.
  • I always add checking my furnace filter to this day.

So if you have no other plans this Saturday night, there you go!

Spring is coming ... be patient and wait for it.

John
