Time To Recycle Holiday Lights

The Recycling Association of Minnesota is in the midst of a two and a half month collection for recycling holiday lights throughout Minnesota. The Recycle your Holidays program is the only holiday lights recycling program of its kind in the United States. To date, more than 840,000 pounds of holiday lights have been recycled since the program was launched.

Old Christmas lights in our area may be dropped off for recycling at:

• the Owatonna Library
• Walgreens
• Steele County Recycling Center
• Arrow Ace Hardware
• Owatonna Public Utilities
• Steele Waseca Electric Cooperative
• B to Z Hardware in Blooming Prairie
• Waseca City Hall
• McNeilus in Dodge Center

Old holiday lights may be dropped off for recycling through the end of January 2016.
