The Owatonna girls' hockey team left Graham Arena Thursday with a bagful of ceremonial pucks after three players scored their first varsity goal in the Huskies 13-0 rout of the Panthers. Calbey Podein, Macy Stanton and Gabriella Lamont each notched their first goal. Jamie Davison netted a hat trick.

The Huskies scored five goals in the first and added five more in the second, leaving the game in running time in the third period. Sydney Hunst and Margo Achterkirch each had two goals. Asia Buryska was needed for just 13 saves, but Century had several quality chances.

Owatonna (14-4, 10-2 Big Nine) hosts top-five ranked Red Wing Saturday at 7PM at the Four Seasons Centre. It is also a cancer awareness night.

The Owatonna boys' hockey squad lost 3-1 to Century, who remained unbeaten in Big Nine games. The Huskies out shot the Panthers 20-17. OHS goes to Red Wing Saturday for a 3PM game.

Husky wrestling beat Rochester John Marshall 78-5 in less than 30 minutes as the Rockets forfeited six weights. OHS goes to the Zumbrota-Mazeppa tournament Saturday. Owatonna is scheduled to face Caledonia at 9AM, LARP at 11AM and the host Cougars at 1PM. The last two matches can be heard on KRFO AM 1390 and on the new KRFO app.

OHS gymnastics beat Winona Thursday and boys' swimming lost to Northfield. Medford boys' basketball topped Madelia 53-49.
