This Year’s CulturFest Will Be The Last One

In a press release the organizers of CulturFest announced that this September's event will be the final one. The final CulturFest will be September 22 at the Wilson School in Owatonna. The core leadership cited changes in their lives with challenges awaiting them as reasons they decided to make this year's CulturFest the final one. There were also challenges in bringing in new faces to take on the task of putting on such a large event. This will be the 20th CulturFest.

CulturFest began in 1999 and was first held at West Hills followed by a relocation to Washington School and then to its final location the Wilson School.

The event drew peoples of many nationalities together for a day as they experienced ethnic food, dance, music and entertainment. It started with a grand parade with participants marching under their ethnic flag or flags.
