In their weekly email newsletter, the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism offered congratulations to an Owatonna business that is moving. And you can see the old location from the new one.

Hometown Credit Union is relocating from inside Hy-Vee Foods to outside Hy-Vee Foods. A ground-breaking was held at the former Jerry's Auto Sales lot at 150 SW 18th St. The new building should be open for business in May 2019.

The newsletter also invites members to consider hosting a Business After Hours event in 2019. The chamber helps promote the occasion and it frequently brings 75 to 100 people to the hosting business. Contact Dodie at 507-451-7970 for information.

In his "What's Happening in Owatonna?" segment, chamber president Brad Meier reports that Brenda DeVinny, who is a human resources employee at Wenger, has been appointed to the City of Owatonna Economic Development Authority.
