T Sisters, ‘Come Back Down’ [Exclusive Premiere]
The T Sisters are getting ready to release their sophomore album in mid-October and are debuting one of their new tracks, “Come Back Down,” exclusively for readers of The Boot.
Soaring harmonies, catchy melodies and mature lyricism abound in “Come Back Down,” a song that the T Sisters say is “inspired by a great love -- the kind of love that buoys you up and leaves you feeling as though you can never return to the way you lived before that love came along."
“We had a lot of fun arranging this tune," the trio tells The Boot, "playing with different harmonies, counter-melodies and timing throughout the song."
Led by sisters Rachel, Erika and Chloe Tietjen, the T Sisters first found fame via NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion radio show. Their self-titled second album, which features 10 tracks, is the follow-up project to 2014’s Kindred Lines; it's also the trio’s first run as executive producers, alongside Cian Riordan, known for his work with Grace Potter and Nickel Creek.
T Sisters is set for release on Oct. 14 and available for pre-order on iTunes. The record will feature nine original tracks and one cover, a ballad written by Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance called "Make It Rain."
