Steele County Blades Player Lands with North American Hockey League Team
Schulz played for both the Blades and Mankato East High School during the 2015-16 season. In the news release, Steele County coach Nick Adamek said, "He has a very high offensive ability that should translate very well to the North American Hockey League."
Schulz appeared in 13 games for the Blades and averaged a point a game with three goals and 10 assists. While playing for the Cougars of Mankato East he amassed 60 points in 24 games. He told the Blades website, "I am very grateful to coach Nick for taking me in as a before and after player. Playing at that caliber of hockey helped develop me as a player to think quicker and play in much more intense situations."
Wichita Falls plays in the South Division of the North American Hockey League, a Tier II league celebrating its 41st year this coming season.
