The Blades get two more chances this weekend to pull closer to Elite Midwest Division leading Wisconsin Rapids. The Riverkings are 3-0 against the Blades this season.

Steele County (21-8-2) got swept at Wisconsin Rapids in late October 6-2 and 6-1. In December the teams met during the Chicago showcase with the Riverkings (26-4-2) earning the 1-0 victory. Wisconsin Rapids has a six-point lead over the Dells Ducks in the division standings entering the weekend. Steele County is in third place, four points behind the Ducks. The Blades have won eight of their past nine games.

Saturday is I-Wealth night for the Blades with a 7:30PM face-off. Visit the I-Wealth office in Waseca for information on free admission to the game or call (507) 835-9111. There will be a chance to meet the players after the game. Sunday the teams play at 3PM. The Blades also have a home game Tuesday, January 24, against Blaine.

Blades forward Justin Movalli from Gloucester, Mass., has played hockey in Texas, Canada and in the East. He has picked up different styles and nuances about the game from the coaches he's played for. Steele County forward Travis Marsh calls Burnsville home. He likes the team-first attitude that the Blades have developed.
