The Steele County Blades junior hockey team plays three home games over the weekend at Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna, beginning Friday night against the league-leading Minnesota Blue Ox at 7:30PM. The Blue Ox (13-1-1) lead the U.S. Premier Hockey League Midwest, West Division standings. Three of those wins have come at the expense of the Blades, including last weekend 4-0 in Coon Rapids.

The Blades (5-9) welcome the Ironwood (MI) Yoopers (8-10) to town for a 7:30PM Saturday, November 11 face off and a matinee 3PM game on Sunday, November 12. Steele County swept a two-game set in Michigan a week ago, taking the opener 3-2. Cody Arbelovsky and Zach Bettmeng each had a goal and an assist. Nick Mizen earned the win in goal.

In the penalty-filled re-match, Steele County scored four goals in the third period to pull off the come-from-behind win 6-4. Bettmeng and Arbelovsky sandwiched goals around Tanner Booth and Kory Potach. Bettmeng and Booth each had a four-point night. Brendan Crayne got the victory in the nets. Steele County was 1-for-9 on the power play.
