Steele County Attorney, Daniel McIntosh is among three candidates recommended to fill the current vacancy in Minnesota's Third Judicial District. The Commission on Judicial Selection announced this afternoon its three recommendations to fill the vacancy created upon the retirement of the Honorable Larry M. Collins who is chambered at Waseca in Waseca County.

McIntosh is a member of the Owatonna Hospital Board of Trustees and united Way of Steele Counties among other duties.

The other two recommendations are Carol Hanks a shareholder at Patton, Hoversten and Berg. P.A. and Jeffrey Johnson who is the Third Judicial District Chief Public Defender.

Minnesota's Third Judicial District consists of Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca and Winona Counties.

An announcement of the appointments will be made following an interview process which will take place over the next several weeks.
