This past weekend it was gorgeous outside and of course instead of getting outside to enjoy it, I decided to organize and clean my house after the bathroom remodel (having a new bathroom is good motivation). I tackled ways to simplify my life with some unique life organizational hacks. As I mentioned in my previous post about my bathroom, it's small and I needed to find a way to store towels without taking up a lot of space. I was going to use a wine rack and convert it into a towel rack but after further research and browsing in stores I found them to be more expensive than I budgeted for ($70-$100 range).

I walked into T.J. Maxx and scoped their products when what to my wondering eyes did I see?!?! A gorgeous filing cabinet that measured perfectly for a small corner near the entrance to my bathroom. I decided to purchase it and convert it to a towel rack. It turned out to be the perfect addition to they area I placed it in. Price? $49! Now when someone enters the bathroom they can pick up their towels beforehand.

The next spot I needed to organize was my craft and holiday closet in my office. My office ended up looking like a catch all for a hoarders episode so I knew I needed to get in there and do some serious cleaning.

Using Pinterest for my inspiration and being innovative I converted a shoe organizer into my own little craft supply area that hangs over the door. I put scissors, pens, pencils, glue, etc in the pockets. I then placed a shelving unit inside the closet where I put tissue paper, bows, note cards, etc in each shelf. I used file organizers to keep things in their own little spot. Now for the big home organizing life hack: I turned a shelf upside down that had railings around it to store my wrapping paper! Pictures below so you can use as your inspiration too. Happy organizing!
