New Jersey-born country artist Scott DeCarlo is premiering the music video for his song “Tippin’ It Up” exclusively for readers of The Boot.

Country music fans might recognize DeCarlo from his 2013 single “I See Trouble Coming,” written by David Lee Murphy, Chris Young and Trick Pony’s Ira Dean. “Tippin’ It Up” is an equally radio-friendly track from the up-and-coming “modern country” performer, bringing with it a honky-tonk-friendly vibe; if you need more evidence of that, take a look at the crowd of folks rocking out to the track at Jenkinson’s Club in Point Pleasant, N.J., in the "Tippin' It Up" music video! Readers can press play above to watch.

“Tippin’ It Up” was co-written by DeCarlo and Shane Minor, who is known for his work with Cole Swindell and Kenny Chesney, among others, and produced by DeCarlo and Brad Winters. Like Minor, DeCarlo was a police officer before he began pursuing his music career; now, his brand of energy-driven country music is inspired by Garth Brooks, Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley and Tim McGraw.

"I am constantly inspired by the achieving underdog, the work ethic of those who have nothing and give everything of themselves. Those individuals bold enough to follow their sound, their dreams, and remain steadfast in their goals of high achievement through all obstacles," DeCarlo says. "I want people to enjoy what I do ... If my music can help someone deal with a difficult situation because they can relate to the lyrics, the melody, or it motivates them to move on or ‘just’ be happy -- then that is how I’d define success.”

DeCarlo is currently working on new music. "Tippin' It Up" and his other singles are available for download on iTunes.
