Riverland Community College Theater begins their upcoming season with a presentation of the musical Cabaret. This marks the 50th anniversary of Cabaret opening on Broadway. Production dates are October 5, 6, 7 and 8 at 7:30PM, with a Sunday matinee on October 9 at 2PM at the Frank W. Bridges Theater on the Austin campus. Tickets are $16.

Riverland also announces that their World Cultural Studies class will be offering a new travel-study opportunity with visits to Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen in March 2017. This trip is open to anyone older than 18. Participants must register for a two-credit course at Riverland. There is a special rate for Minnesota senior citizens.

Special information sessions to discuss the Scandinavian Sprint will be Wednesday, October 12, at noon in Room C124 and again at 6:30PM in Room c108 in the East Building of the Austin campus.

The class is limited to 28 participants. Registrations will be accepted until November 21 or until space is filled.
