The annual Rice and Steele County Crops Day will be Wednesday, February 24. Registration begins at 8:30AM at the Rice County 4-H Building on Fairgrounds Drive in Faribault.

Among the topics to be covered will be a buffer strip update, along with a look at what's new in the world of seed treatments and plant diseases.

Jeff Vetsch, an SROC soil scientist, will discuss P and K Fertilization and effects on corn and soybean yields and profitability.

In the afternoon sessions, the 2016 Market Outlook will be presented along with Weed Management, It Isn't Simple Anymore.

Admission is free and Cash Wise Foods in Owatonna will provide the noon meal.
