In Owatonna, the American Legion and VFW parade begins at 9:30AM on School Street going south on Elm Avenue to the Four Seasons Center on the Steele County Fairgrounds by 10:30AM for the Memorial Day Program, which will air live on AM1390 KRFO.


American Legion Post 296 and VFW Post 8941 will provide an honor guard and firing squad during the Memorial Day services, weather permitting:

  • Holy Trinity Cemetery, Litomysl: 8:15AM
  • St. Aiden's Cemetery, Bath: 9:15AM
  • Geneva Community Cemetery, Geneva: 10:15AM, service will be in Community Lutheran Church in case of rain
  • First Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Ellendal: 11:15AM

Kurt Foster, NRHEG grad who served his country during the first Gulf War, will deliver a commemorative message. The NRHEG middle school band will perform under the direction of Mr. Whitcomb.

Service men and women are invited to join. Meet at the Ellendale Community Center at 7:45AM.


The Dodge County Veterans Memorial will be dedicated at 2PM on Memorial Day -- Monday, May 25. It is located on First Avenue on Highway 34 in Dodge Center.

The Dodge Center Veterans Memorial is on the corner of First Avenue and Old Highway 34. It will be dedicated Memorial Day 2015.
