The 12th annual Strive Wellness run/walk event is Saturday, Aug. 22 during the Steele County Fair. The event is adding a 2-mile fitness walk this year.

Registration is open for the annual event, which raises money for the Owatonna Rotary Strive program. Go online to strive.owatonnarotaryclub.org to sign up. The fee is $25 through Aug. 19 and $30 on the day of the race. Participants receive a dry-fit t-shirt. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category.

The Strive Wellness run/walk includes a 4-mile run through residential streets of Owatonna. Kids 400-meter and 800-meter runs take place on the Owatonna High School track. New in 2015 is a 2-mile fitness walk. The course is certified and chip-timed. It is a very flat course and begins and ends at Owatonna High School.
