About 250 players turned out for the opening night of the 18th annual Owatonna Huskies football camp. Athletes entering grades 3-10 were taken through many football drills.

The camp runs through Thursday 5:30-8:00 each night. It has become a multi-generational event, as several people who participated in the camp as youth and went on to play for OHS have settled in Owatonna and now have sons taking part in the camp.

The 3rd through 6th graders are taught skills related to all positions. 7th through 10th graders choose an offensive and defensive position to focus on.

Park and Rec youth registration night is Wednesday.

The Huskies football camp is a non-contact camp. The main goal is to teach the fundamentals of offense, defense and the kicking game.
