There will be a number of ways that you can contribute to next year's July 4 fireworks display in Owatonna. Rotarians will be selling flags on Saturday, July 2, from 10AM to noon at Fareway Foods in Owatonna. If you plan on dining at Buffalo Wild Wings between July 1 and 4, mention the word "fireworks" and 10 percent of your bill will go to the fireworks fund.

Fareway is also doing a round-up program. When your grocery bill is totaled, you may round up to an equal dollar amount and the difference will go toward the fireworks fund. New this year is the opportunity to donate online. Go to the Owatonna Rotary Club website to make a donation.

This year's fireworks show begins at dusk at the Steele County Fairgrounds. Before the show, you're invited to the Brick Meger Funeral Home for the Scottie Miller Band performing from 7-10PM. Pulled pork sandwiches will be available starting at 6PM for a donation to the Patriot Skies or fireworks fund. Free watermelon will be served as well.

Donations may be mailed or dropped off at the Owatonna Chamber of Commerce.
