Brrrng it on! The 2015 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Minnesota will hit Owatonna for the first time ever on Saturday January 31 with a 1:00 plunge into Lake Kohlmier.

The first ever Owatonna Plunge will be held at Lake Kohlmier, off Mosher Avenue. The Plunge begins at 1:00 on Saturday January 31. Day of the Plunge check-in will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Plunge site.

Parking and shuttle

Shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes the day of the event and are available for free to all participants AND spectators. Shuttle locations to be announced.

Follow these simple steps

Register online at plungemn.org. Participants may Plunge as individuals or in teams. You are encouraged to wear unique and outrageous costumes on Plunge day. Second, ask everyone from family to friends to pledge your Plunge. Each participant must raise a minimum of $75. The average Plunger raised more than $210 in 2014. Third, check-in on Plunge day and bring your pledges with you. Shoes, towel and fun are also required. Finally take a deep breath and get ready to be freezin' for a reason!

Plungers put it all on the line as they jump to frozen glory to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota. The funds raised benefit for than 8,000 SOMN athletes as they train, compete and transform themselves, their communities and the world.
