The Minnesota Pheasants Steele County Chapter held their banquet Thursday at Ritchie Brothers in Medford. The banquet was well attended, with 275 people present.

Minnesota Pheasants Inc. was established in 1966. The group has nearly 1,000 members. It is the mission of Minnesota Pheasants Inc., Steele County Chapter to establish and enhance habitat for wildlife.

Every year, the Steele County Chapter of Minnesota Pheasants Inc. has given away corn and feeders to residents of Steele County. These feeders are placed throughout Steele County to help wildlife endure Minnesota's winters.

Youth programs include the Junior Trap Shoot at the Owatonna Gun Club, a free event for youth who would like to learn safe gun handling and shooting. A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officer is on hand for advice and instruction.
