One is the lone senior starter on the offensive line. The other is an anchor on the defensive front. Joe Edel and Joseph Stransky are both captains for the Owatonna High School football team. They spoke with KRFO radio about football and life as a high school student.

Edel says he enjoys being part of the band-of-brothers that the offensive line creates. He likes seeing the big numbers fellow-captain Jason Williamson has gained, even though he acknowledges that Williamson does a lot of that on his own. Stransky loves making big plays on the defensive line and having fun with the guys.

Among their other accomplishments, Edel was part of Owatonna's first-ever state-meet qualifying trap shooting team. Stransky co-starred in the chocolate milk video produced by the football team a couple of years ago.

Each is honored to be a football captain for Owatonna.
