The OHS wrestlers go to Lakeville South on Thursday for a 7PM match on KRFO AM 1390. Owatonna's basketball, hockey and boys swimming teams all compete, too.

 

Owatonna's wrestlers face new Section 1AAA team Lakeville South in a key meet for seeding the post-season tournament. No. 8AAA OHS (11-4 in dual meets) has been wrestling short some of their top guys due to a variety of circumstances. South (3-3) is rated among the Lean and Mean honorable mention teams.

The Huskies' girls basketball team is coming off an impressive victory over top-10-ranked Rochester Mayo on Tuesday and plays at Mankato East at 7:30PM Thursday on Kat Kountry 105FM. Owatonna (8-6 overall, 6-4 in the Big Nine) has won three of its last four. This is the first meeting with Mankato East (5-9, 3-8) this season.

OHS boys basketball hosts the Cougars at 7:30PM. Owatonna (11-6, 8-5) lost at Mankato East (10-6, 8-5) in their season-opener. The Huskies have won three in a row.

Owatonna girls hockey plays a four-point Big Nine game at Mankato West (7-13-1, 4-6-1) at 5:30PM at All Seasons Arena. The Huskies (15-7, 10-4) remain ranked at No. 16A this week.

OHS boys hockey hosts Mankato West at 7PM at Four Seasons Centre. The Scarlets (8-7-2, 5-1-1) rallied to tie the Huskies (9-7-1, 7-3) during the holiday tournament in Duluth. Owatonna has won three in a row and four of the last five, all by shutout.

Owatonna's boys swimmers host Northfield at 6PM at the junior high. An adapted floor hockey game that was on Thursday's schedule against New Prague has been moved to this Friday at 4:30PM at the junior high.

Medford's teams have a full slate of action in front of them Thursday. Boys basketball goes to Maple River. Girls basketball plays at defending AA state champ Dover-Eyota. And the Tiger wrestlers host Maple River.

Triton boys basketball hosts Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on Thursday in a KDHL AM 920 broadcast. The Cobra girls go to WEM. The Triton wrestlers host a home meet with Blooming Prairie, St. Charles and St. Clair.

The NRHEG wrestlers go to Hayfield on Thursday along with top-10-ranked Zumbrota-Mazeppa.
