The action, and temperatures, will heat up Sunday for the wrap up of the Summer Classic tournament hosted by Owatonna VFW baseball Post 3723.

Owatonna is fielding two teams in the tournament. The blue team lost to Blaine 11-5 on Saturday, while the red team dropped a 10-1 decision to Austin.

Rochester Century, Roseville, Albert Lea and East Ridge advanced to the championship bracket for games at Dartt's Park on Sunday.

Teams in the consolation bracket are Blaine, Rochester Mayo, Apple Valley and Austin. Sunday games are at Willow Creek.

Owatonna's team are in the third seed bracket also at Willow Creek with Red Wing and Faribault.

Sunday's schedule is 11AM, 1:30PM and 3:30PM. The forecast calls for temperatures to reach the mid to upper 80's with some strong afternoon thunderstorms.

Owatonna VFW plays at New Ulm Tuesday night and travels to Rochester Mayo Wednesday for a double header to close out the regular season. Post 77 Legion baseball returns to action Tuesday hosting Farmington at 6PM at Fuller Field at Dartt's Park and goes to the Rochester Patriots on Wednesday to wrap up the regular season.

The Owatonna Aces split their home and home series with the Austin Blue Sox this weekend. Owatonna won 8-6 at Fuller Field Friday then lost 6-3 Saturday in Austin. The Aces play at Waseca Wednesday night.
