The state high school golf tournament is June 9-10. Triton's boys team qualified for the first time. A pair of Owatonna High School players and a Blooming Prairie golfer will play as well.

For the fourth and final time, Owatonna High School senior Peter Jones will play at the state high school golf tournament. The future University of Minnesota player was the runner-up as a sophomore and finished in the top 10 last year. His classmate and fellow senior Maddie Peglow will make her first appearance at state. The AAA tournament is held at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

The Triton boys team made history this season, becoming the first Cobra golf team to qualify for state. They broke the school scoring record at least twice and advanced past the subsection for the first time. The team consists of seniors Zach Otto and Preston Pflaum, juniors Jaden Thiemann, Ethan Otterbein and Max Henderson and eighth-grader Austin Gillund. Thiemann and Otto both played at state as individuals last year. The AA tournament is at Ridges and Sand Creek in Jordan.

Blooming Prairie sophomore Taylor Christianson is making her second straight trip to state. The Class A event is at Pebble Creek in Becker.
