The Owatonna Police Department in a press release state that they are investigating two aggravated robberies that occurred on Wednesday. They are believed to be related.

The first incident occurred on the 1200 block of Oak Avenue South just before 8PM. The other incident took place in the Morehouse Park area just before 8:30PM.

In both incidents the suspects were identified as young adult African-American males wearing dark coloring clothing. One is said to have a ski mask with a dark hoodie and the other was wearing a dark hoodie pulled tight. They were reported as leaving in a dark-colored vehicle.

Two victims reported that a handgun was displayed. One victim was physically assaulted and sustained a minor injury.

The Waseca Police Department in a press release reports an armed robbery on Wednesday as well. This incident took place about 8:30PM in the parking lot of First National Bank of Waseca. In this incident a woman was sitting in her car when she was approached by a man with a pistol demanding her money and wallet. The suspect was described as African-American in his late 20s and wearing dark pants and a winter jacket with a scarf or bandana covering part of his face.
