Several entries in the Owatonna High School football record book will need updates after the Huskies bashed Austin 77-41. Sam Hylle and Aidan Buryska set new marks.

Senior running back Sam Hylle scored seven touchdowns, breaking the school record of five. Several players had reached that figure, most recently Aaron Peterson in 2013. Hylle scored on runs of 1, 4, 24, 56, 10, 5 and 6 yards. Peterson's single-game rushing record of 310 yards also may have been broken. Hylle had 315 yards on 39 carries, according to unofficial stats kept by KRFO during the broadcast. The Huskies had more than 450 total rushing yards to go along with 175 passing yards in the wide open affair.

Junior kicker Aiden Bursyka went 11-for-11 on PATs, breaking the record of nine made PAT attempts set by Logan Busho in 2009.

The teams combined for about 1,060 yards of offense. The game featured five scoring plays of 45 yards or more. There were several plays of 35-plus yards that did not result in touchdowns. Austin attempted onside kicks on multiple occasions. Owatonna went for it on four down at least five times.

Sophomore receiver Dalton Kubista caught a pair of touchdown passes from Alex Emanuelson. The second one was a one-handed grab, followed by a broken tackle on his way into the end zone.

Owatonna (4-1) plays at Rochester Mayo (4-1) on Friday, Sept. 25. The Huskies will host homecoming Oct. 2 versus New Prague.
