Huskies volleyball goes to Rochester Mayo on Thursday night at 7PM for a 1AAA semifinal. The Panthers face Kenyon-Wanamingo at MSU-Mankato at 6PM in a subsection final.

Owatonna (18-11) is the sixth seed in the section. They upset Farmington on Friday night to reach the semifinals. Big Nine champ Mayo (25-2) beat Owatonna 3-1 earlier this season on a night that Owatonna was not at full strength. Thursday's match is at Mayo High School. Lakeville South (24-5) is the top seed and No. 3-ranked team in the state. They host Winona (19-9) Thursday in the other 1AAA semifinal. The winners meet Saturday at 3PM at Mayo Civic Center Arena in Rochester.

NRHEG (14-12) is the second seed in the South Subsection of 2AA and plays top seed Kenyon-Wanamingo (30-4) Thursday at Minnesota State University, Mankato at 6PM with coverage on Kat Kountry 105FM. The No. 9-ranked Knights topped the Panthers 3-1 early in the season. The North Subsection final features top-seed and top-ranked Belle Plaine and No. 6-rated Jordan. The winners square off at MSU-Mankato Saturday at 7:45PM.

Defending Class A state champion Faribault Bethlehem Academy (21-7) plays Hayfield (18-10) Thursday at 6PM at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester with play-by-play on Power 96 radio. The other 1A subsection final pits Mabel-Canton against Caledonia. The winners battle for the section title Saturday at 1PM at Mayo Civic.

Subsection finals in 1AA are Stewartville versus Kasson-Mantorville and Red Wing against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Thursday. The finals are Saturday at 11AM at Mayo Civic.

The finals in the 2A subsections are Waterville-Elysian-Morristown against St. Clair on Thursday at 6PM at Mankato East High School on KDHL AM 920 and Mayer-Lutheran against BOLD. The finals are Saturday at 6PM at MSU-Mankato.
