The Owatonna Music Boosters have a couple of benefit concerts coming up. The first one will be their seventh annual benefit concert on Saturday, January 14, at the OHS Auditorium. A silent auction will take place at 6PM followed by the concert at 7PM. The lineup features Owatonna students with solos and ensembles, OHS Jazz Band and the OHS Dinner Ensemble. There will also be numbers by the Owatonna Music Department faculty and appearances from community members. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Tuesday, January 24, the Music Boosters of Owatonna welcome New Orleans jazz saxophonist Derek Douget to the Owatonna Art Center. Also appearing will be Reid Kennedy on drums, Steve Pikal on bass and Phil Aaron on piano. The concert begins at 7PM. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets are on sale now at Tone Music and Kottke Jewelers.

Proceeds benefit music education in the Owatonna schools.
