After a combined six postponed games, the Owatonna girls' and boys' lacrosse seasons opened Saturday with a doubleheader at Mayo High School. The boys' game was moved from Owatonna High School, where the field is not ready, to Rochester, where they have a turf field.

The OHS girls won 14-0. The Huskies' game scheduled for Monday at Holy Family is postponed due to field conditions. Owatonna hopes to open their home schedule Thursday versus Rochester Century at 6:15PM and has a home game set for Saturday with Lakeville South at 1PM, which is rescheduled from April 12. The Huskies have other games to makeup against Tartan, Mankato and Northfield. The OHS girls' junior varsity won 12-0.

The Owatonna boys won Saturday 14-6 over Mayo. Landon Thurnau scored five goals. Tyler Johnson and Walker Nelson each netted four. Nate Smith had six assists. The Huskies are looking at a four-game week with all the contests on the road. Monday they play at Farmington, where an artificial surface should guarantee a game. Tuesday the Huskies go to Mankato if their field is dry enough. Thursday OHS is scheduled to be at Rochester Century and Saturday at St. Thomas Academy.

Owatonna boy's tennis blanked Austin Saturday 7-0 to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Huskies are due to host No. 6AA Rochester Mayo Tuesday at 4:30PM at the high school courts.
