Owatonna Hospice Fundraiser

The Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna will host a Wine and Beer Tasting event fundraiser for their patient care fund. This fund is used to help those staying at hospice to meet their $300 daily charge.

The Wine and Beer tasting will feature around 110 different kinds. There will also be a number of craft beers to sample. There will also be hors d'oeuvres and burger baskets will be available. Advance tickets are $15 and available at Cash Wise Liquor, Cash Wise Foods, Homestead Hospice House and Kotke Jewelers. Tickets at the door will be $20. Hours for the Thursday, September 7, event will be 6:30-9PM at the Owatonna Holiday Inn. For those who have never been to one, you will get a wine glass and a beer glass and then wander throughout the room enjoying the different samples.

The hospice house features eight rooms and they have served patients ranging in age from 30 to 102. They average three to four patients per day. In hospice care at Homestead hospice you have a private room and bath along with 24-hour care.
